In 2019, the Artichoke urban festival invited Arquicostura to transform the facade of a private house in Estavayer-le-Lac, Switzerland — a 7 × 6 metre mural of the roses that define our studio's visual language.
The choice was no coincidence. The rose is the emblem of Estavayer-le-Lac: painted and carved on century-old buildings, trained as espaliers along the pavements, planted in every garden. Our roses — the same ones that live in our home textile designs — came home.
Flores is a tribute to the rose, part of a series that brings life and colour to stone walls.
